Ipswich have made a bid for 21 year old Wimbledon winger Kevin Sainte-Luce. McCarthy has had Steve McCall watch him on several different occasions including on Saturday when he came off the bench in the 64th minute. I believe the bid is about £125,000

Ipswich have also invited Mikele Leigertwood for a trial but he rejected the offer; instead suggesting he was proven enough not to need a trial. This didn't sit well with McCarthy who ended all interest in the player.

Finally, an enquiry was made for Yeovil midfielder and captain Joe Edwards but Ipswich baulked at the £350,000 asking price.

Will post more in the following days as things heat up!

Frederik Sorensen still on the radar at Leeds, although a move looks unlikely now as it is widely thought he has been offered a new contract at juve and will then immediately go out on a long loan spell to either atalanta or verona.

Casper Sloth deal imminent as all tings agreed just subject to medical now, (well that and cellino not changing his mind).

Leeds still interested in bringing in upto 3 more new faces before deadline day another central midfielder possibly Powell on loan (Man Utd) or Davide di Gennaro (Palermo), amazingly another striker Pavoletti was thought to be this striker but this seems dead as Salerno was in Italy friday/saturday trying to seal this move but he has apparently signed for Genoa but going straight on loan to Cesena, while in Italy it is believed Salerno was also in talks with Adryans agent and trying to sort out this deal.
As reported by some media sites yesterday, Adryan doesn't know where his future lies but he is happy to move if it guarantees him regular football, and he is happy to stay if a move doesn't come about and do his utmost for Cagliari.

Dave Allen has told Paul cook that he has money to spend from the Liam cooper deal! We didn't spend a penny last year As all our players came on free transfers apart from morsy which went to a tribunal! Reuben Reid's name has been floating about since the end of last season so we shall see about that! But I wouldn't be surprised to see Craig Davies back on loan if another striker isn't brought in soon with Bolton paying some of his wages. Clucas is a player cook likes as he loves having wingers and boco isn't consistent at all! And a new CB is a priority because if anything happens to evatt or hird then we will struggle! Expect at least 2 signings very soon, as Paul cook has said he's working hard to bring players in!

Coyle will not be signing. Looks like the Board are waiting for the outcome of the Palace position which probably means if Lennon does not get the Palace job he will be at Town by the end of next week. If he does go to Palace then expect Lillis to get the job until the end of the season - the other candidates offer no more than Lillis and he is the safe pair of hands.

Why are people knocking Bamford, the kid has incredible potential and Mourinho needed time to decide if he was going to be needed in the chelsea First team squad this season.

The deal isn't off and he hasn't turned us down, he needs time to decide where he wants to go. That isn't something to take personally as Boro fans, he has his family to think about.

Coutts would be a great signing. Do we need a striker as well? We only play one up top and it's been great for us so far this season. We've got one of the best strikers in the league in Garner. Then when Reids back to full fitness he'll start over Little on the wing, so we also have an outstanding second choice stiker in Little? Then we've got Hugil and Davies for if the two of them were to get injured or suspended. One of the names being linked if Jermaine Beckford? He wouldn't be happy with a place on the bench. Little wouldn't like to be a third choice striker either. And we just can't drop Garner with his form.

We don't need any more midfielders we need a striker if garner is injured we have nobody, davies is past it, little was average at best at rangers and not a goalscorer at this level. we also need a centre back and a decent keeper jones is not the answer

As a second choice striker Little is quality. 3rd choice Davies and Hugill are good enough. In midfield we can't just rely on Brownhill and Browne.

If you ever saw little play for rangers which i doubt you would know he is average at best, davies should have retired last seson 3 goals a season is no good for a team looking for promotion, he is slow cumbersome and quite frankly garbage

You don't need an excellent second choice striker. If you did he'd get frustrated on the bench. So Little is a very good back up as he's pacy, can score and willing to sit on the bench. And as a third choice in this league. Well, they'll most likely all be bad. Yet Kev can still hold the ball up although he isn't good at anything else. And a player like Beckford wouldn't be happy as second choice in league one. Whatsoever. Oh and yes I have watched Little for Rangers. I take an interest in most leagues not just league one. And yes. He's definitely good enough to be back up for Garner. He'd be first choice at the majority of league one clubs.

Dont rate the spanish lad one bit. Looks like a major weak point. So i'd say either dimi or steele

marshall

(0)
(1)

Dimi is our number 1 gk in my opinion. Mejias might be decent but was largely to blame at leeds, even before the goal he was flapping about. Dimi is the most experienced gk we have and seems a lot more composed in goal than mejias. Steele is third choice in my opinion, I always thought he wasn't that great when he was our number 1. I'd rather the club move him on this summer, I'd think you could get a couple million for him which could be used to get a very good player either now or inJanuary

BoroJack

(0)
(0)

Cheers just curious always thought it was Steele

Baz_Tyke

(0)
(0)

So did we, Steele is our best keeper just AK lost all his trust in him as he got sent off in AK's first game last year, only played 1 game since

Boromad86

(0)
(0)

And rightly so, it won't be personal but if we want to get promoted AK needs to make tough choices. when Joe hart went through his bad spell, they took him out the team, regained his confidence and is now number 1 at man city & for england. Every single point in this league is vital. When the leagues finished in may and 2 or 3 points make the difference, you'll think We Definately should of played that player instead of the other in that game we lost. Its no good thinking "oh we have 43 games left" we have to win the majority of those games!

BoroJack

(0)
(0)

Boro Jack if your agreeing with penalising Steele then what's the excuse for Majis against villareal and Leeds he did identical mistakes and palmed the ball straight to the opposition who score. Dimi against QPR big mistake you can't just blame Steele. Tuesday night Mijas flapped and punched a ball straight out and again we where lucking it didn't end up in the net. I think Steele must have said sumit out of place to be put out the way he is.

chazlad1970

(0)
(0)

Which is why I think dimi is our best keeper. ok he might have made a mistake in the past, one I was unaware off, but he is at least the most consistent keeper we have. Last few games last season for example. Weve lost again 3-2 today, that's 5 goals conceded in our Last 3 league games, i'd be suprised if he starts in the next one, whether he was at fault or not. Also the point I made goes to every player in the squad, if Their not performing they need to be dropped, that goes for friend, leadbitter, adomah, omeruo and even kike.

Belgian international striker jelle vossen has agreed a deal to sign for middlesbrough. His club genk are resigned to the fact that they will lose him for nothing next year so are reluctantly accepting a lower offer from boro after vossen told them he wants to move to teesside, both clubs are haggling over the fee however boro are holding all the cards as they know the player has his heart set on a move, expect this to go through as well as the imminent double swoop on chelsea for bamford and baker

Tow: vossens contract runs out next summer and he's able to sign a pre contract with other clubs in January however I don't believe we will be signing him before the close of this window as Genks heels are dug in n they still think they'll get a higher fee before the window closes. If boro have any business sense they'll wait til January to get him to sign a pre contract

Borolionheart

Jelle Vossen of Genk has a contract until June 2017. He extended it in 2012. Google Jelle Vossen contract and even in dutch its clear he is contracted until then. It also says June 2017 on transfermarkt. co. uk. £4 million is the least you could hope to sign him for he has just under 3 years left on his contract! Sign him if we can get him but with Kike and hopefully bamford coming in, getting a place would be difficult. At this time Graham at £1mil seems the most sensible buy. I worked out the other day Boro have very roughly spent £7.5m this summer and brought in around £5m from sales. With £2.5m already outlayed, £4m seems too much unless we sell other players. I think Steele could go, I don't think he's going to get a look in this season and possibly kei kamara also even though I still think Kamara can contribute to the team in some way, despite criticising boro over the summer.
